We strongly suggest that please re-rank the Zi Tan Stream as it should not be rank as a 2 or 3 star route (Actually we think that it should be rank as a 4.5 to 5 star route). For the fall which you mentioned in your web site (the one that you did not take photos), it is too dangerous, most of the rocks are loosen and there is no plants for us to grasp (those grass are all dry and are not firmly enough to grasp). When we pass through that cliff, many big rock loosen and fall into the pond. As a web master, you have the responsibility to give clear advice to the web visitors. As such, please emphasize the difficulty of stream and especially for the fall that I mentioned earlier, which is not suitable for climbing (erosion rock) and please suggest another path to pass that fall much safer.

Thanks for your concern. I think the star is a relative standard. Our standard is that of an adventurer. Indeed, Zi Tan is really mild and easy compared with that of those we put 4 or 5 stars. That's why on the first page, we recommend people NOT to go to most of the routes that we suggest unless with our supervision.

I think, as ordinary hikers, I will only suggest people go to easy walks ONLY. In fact, for most people, all the routes specified here are 5 stars or beyound.

After saying all, we welcome other people to join us to go these routes. Quite frequent, we receive request from differnet parties to join us via emails.

Actually , I experienced the events you mentioned i.e. 1) half of the body fall into the reservoir 2) tackling that cliff with difficulty, 3) feeling itchy

That is why I have already mentioned in the article : Be careful while walking along the path near the reservoir and be careful while tackling that cliff which is slippery and steep. We did climb up on the left handed side of the cliff. Therefore we recorded down our route. We did not notice any big rocks falling into the pond. You are most welcome to share your experience on the discussion forum so that other people know your experience. Our experience is not complete. We need your input.

The grading is a relative standard. I have visited more than 60 streams in the past (including some more challenging routes), I don't think that the overall grading of Zi Tan Stream should be something more than 3 stars.
But I agree with you: that cliff is challenging!
