I think that stream you are talking about is the Sheung Luk Stream in Sai Kung (Sheung Tam stream is in HK Island).
I suggest one to start from Tai Long Sai Wan, to complete the whole stream. If you are short of time, it is then advisable to start from Sai Kung Sai Wan Road and join the Lu Wu trail, which will intersect with the stream.

The pictures looked good but they were taken in 1995. Is it still accesible now? Is the entrance to the stream easily locateable in Tai Long Sai Wan? Thank you.

Yes, it is still easily accessible. We have visited this stream several time after 1995.

We did the trek last Sat and it was quiet amazing. Not as much water as hoped and not as clean as others I have come across. Nevertheless there are enough pools to take a dip and rest. I was a little bit dissapointed that the route was not as well marked as others (eg with arrows and res/yellow ribbons). We took a very steep cliff at Ben Cho falls and it was quite dangerous not knowing that there is another much safer route. I hope routes like this is better marked so that the it would be easier and not as dangerous for the less experienced.
